The ongoing reinstatement along the EACOP corridor is a clear demonstration that environmental restoration is an integral part of responsible infrastructure development. As construction progresses, the corridor is being restored to return the landscape to its original state.
The official launch of the construction of the Kabaka Daudi Chwa II EACOP Stadium at Buddu Saza Ground in Masaka City is underway.
This landmark project reflects EACOP's commitment to creating lasting value for communities, leaving a meaningful legacy even before the first barrel of oil flows.

Sport has the power to unite communities and inspire young people. Through investments in sports infrastructure like the Daudi Chua II EACOP Stadium, EACOP is supporting opportunities that will nurture future champions. #UnlockingEastAfricasPotential#WangalaAyiSsaabasajja
At yesterday's installation of the 39th President of the Rotary Club of Muyenga, our MD Fabian Kasi, reminded us that succession is more than a transition of roles. It is the continuation of a shared mission, values, and purpose.
He also encouraged the incoming President Beatrice Lugalambi to remain authentic:
"Be original. Don't be intimidated by those who came before you. Original things are always more valuable than imitations."
Congratulations to the new leadership of the Rotary Club of Muyenga. We look forward to another year of service, collaboration, and meaningful impact.
The newly sworn-in Cabinet Ministers of the republic of #Uganda visited the EACOP Pump Station in Hoima, led by the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Her Excellency @jessica_alupo.
The delegation also included the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda Hon. @RobinahNabbanja . The visit provided the ministers with firsthand insight into the progress of EACOP and its contribution to Uganda’s oil and gas development.
. @KawalaRachael "Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of Sydney Gongodyo, a professional rugby player, following an incident that occurred on 5 June 2026.
The suspects have been identified as Mugwiisa Obed and Owino Joseph, a security guard. Mugwiisa Obed was captured in video footage wearing a yellow T-shirt and carrying a large log during the incident. During interrogation, he led investigators to a local laundry (dobbi) where he had taken the yellow T-shirt he was seen wearing on the day of the attack. The garment was subsequently recovered as part of the ongoing investigations.
Their arrest brings the total number of suspects currently in custody to ten (10) as investigations into the alleged mob killing continue.
Efforts are ongoing to identify, trace, and apprehend other individuals believed to have participated in the incident.
We remain committed to ensuring that all those responsible for this criminal act are held accountable and brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
Congratulations @jkmuhwezi 🇺🇬
Congratulations Your Excellency @KagutaMuseveni on forming your Cabinet. May they serve our country well.
Long live Rujumbura.
Long live Uganda.
@AAgather And all of them are from the North.
No transparency & accountability at all.Ok,we would ve excused her for recruiting anyhowly but she lacked sense of fairness in her dubious hand-picking recruitment drive.
We have lost a legend of the game. Join us in mourning the sad passing of our very own O’Brien Tindimwebwa.
Our heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and the entire Uganda rugby community during this difficult time.
A ministerial appointment comes with substantial material benefits but everybody who knows me knows that I’m not in politics for money. I was offered the position in June 2021. I only took office in July 2022 after more than a year. Can a man dying of hunger wait that long when the job is his for the taking? There is something more at stake beyond the “eating” which some political low lives and trolls are obsessed with.
