The American importer pays it.
That makes Canadian hockey sticks, dairy, booze and wood more expensive over there
so U.S. buyers order less.

Carney’s “dollar for dollar” answer is the opposite.

It starts September 8.
Canada collects it at OUR border
on U.S. steel, dairy, appliances, farm equipment, pulp and electronics.

That bill lands on Canadians.

Food that crosses the line.
The stuff families actually buy.

Carney said it out loud.
It will raise costs and cut choice.

So one tariff shrinks what we sell.
The other one taxes what we buy.
And Ottawa wants applause for the second one, for punishing Canadians!
Either it’s incompetence or TRULY NOT CARING about struggling Canadians!

Carney wants a pat on the back for closing businesses at rates we’ve never seen and putting the cost of living out of control!

That’s not a strategy.
That’s making households pay for a deal they had 17 months to negotiate.
