This is one of the most comprehensive reviews of EEG monitoring during anesthesia and critical care. I am very happy to be part of this incredible team and to trigger the interest in EEG among young residents!
In 2025, the @EuroSIVA Summer School will have a different format and location.
We will organize a mixed basic and advanced course on Intravenous Anesthesia Pharmacology and Perioperative Monitoring in Lisbon on 23rd and 24th May at Aula Magna Lisbon University Medical School.

Entonces
A > B = flujo anterograda
B > A = flujo retrograda
❸ Si representamos simultáneamente curva de presión vs tiempo (Figura) a su paso por ambos perfiles, observamos que existe un cierto desfase entre ellas, cruzándose en tres puntos:
• Intercepción = presión 0 = flujo nulo
• Punto 1 = presión A > B = flujo anterógrado
• Entre puntos 1 y 2 = presión B > A = flujo retrógrado

What is Romberg’s sign and how should it be used?
I often see this sign misused to suggest a cerebellar ataxia. But it’s the exact opposite - the test exists to point AWAY from central cause!

WHEN PARENTS GET OLD ... Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow ...
Let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that they heard yours as a child ...
Let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win ...
Let them enjoy their friends just as they let you …
Let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them ...
Let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away ...
Let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ...
LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path! (“Honor your mother and father and your days shall be long upon the earth”.) - God
