We found 2 dogs caged up and neglected on the 8th of June.

To be honest you could hardly even recognize them as dogs. They’d been used for breeding.

Discovering the location yesterday, where the remains of more than 150 dolphins were dumped, explains why the whalers waited until all activists were out of sight before driving their two trucks far from Skalafjord to conceal this horrific scene.

If anyone is seriously considering the argument that the Faroese community needs to eat dolphin meat to survive, these images should give them reason to reconsider.

The story of these dolphins is the story of a wealthy society where some members are trapped in a past when whaling meant survival. Today, whaling means wasting the planet's precious life. It means neglecting nature and the environment, even though all needs and more are met. It means clinging to outdated traditions and habits at the expense of wildlife. It means refusing to heed the world around you, because pride is taken in violence and cruelty toward animals.

The traits on display during this atrocity, and evident to us all when whalers call for a kill, are the very things driving the destruction of our planet and the species we share it with.”

Please meet Ollie the 3y.o Cocker Spaniel who is yet another unclaimed stray.
Ollie arrived in our care in shocking condition, another that was so matted, he had sore weeping skin and was very underweight. It was clear to see Ollie had suffered the worst neglect and it had been going on for some time. His skin has now been treated, he’s had a lovely groom and his scars are healing and his hair is growing back.
Despite his past treatment Ollie has the sweetest, most gentle nature imaginable. He is super friendly and adores everyone. He is currently is foster with 2 children and 2 dogs. He is good with all dogs and I’m sure he could be rehomed with cats.
He is quick to learn and now knows basic commands. He loves his walks and getting out and about exploring with the family, he’d suit a relatively active home.
Ollie hasn’t had the best life up to now but you’d never know that with his happy go lucky attitude and his zest for life, his tail just never stops wagging!
Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this handsome little chap won’t be disappointed 🩵
