Based on past trends, now that a single day has passed, we can expect to see protests worldwide celebrating the invaders and admonishing Spain, even though Spain has done nothing yet in response.
Dems in the US are just about to drop carefully prepared talking points about how history didn't begin today and employ impressive mental gymnastics explaining why citizens of Spain deserved having their homes broken into and watching their families get beaten. The NYT and similar outlets will spin the invading thousands as maybe even a little brave and heroic? That headline ends with a question mark because the media lawyers suggest it'll help defend the paper in court.
Some really concerning photos might drop showing vile treatment of bound Spanish women and children. The left will tapdance around how we can't be absolutely certain any rapes happened, and hint that if the invaders did in fact do rapes, this is a case where nobody should feel bad about it. But also there absolutely weren't any rapes ok.
Despite the rape thing and Hollywood's rich history of decrying forced sex, elite actors will wear pro-invader pins to the next 6 hour circlecrank award night.
Two tone apparel depicting icons of the invaders and the boats they used to arrive in Spain is about to be really popular among the young left in US colleges. Students with Spanish lineage are going to be singled out and harassed by masked thugs on campus, restricted from walking freely, and corraled dangerously into confined spaces without an exit for hours. Campus police and college admins will do nothing to prevent this. They might even run cover for the thugs.
An element of American religious (as of last week) zealots wearing Republican costumes and hugging words like 'heritage' are going to launch multi-year podcast runs where they all interview each other non-stop and at the top of their lungs, every hour of every day, question why they aren't allowed to speak out against the evils of Spain and that if they die one day it's because Spain's special forces carried out a hit.
Spanish restaurants and Spanish people living in or visiting other countries are going to start getting beaten and killed too. Figures like Hasan are going to cheer for it but please don't be alarmed because the fight isn't against the Spanish as individuals no it's merely a political disagreement with the policies of Spain's government so everything is great.
I underestimated how emotionally committed much of the press is to rallying around Anthony Fauci. His reputation is more important to them than anything - more important than preventing the next biodisaster. This is stronger than Muellermania
Dr. Fauci is one of history’s greatest villains. The Covid virus—which will be with humanity forever—and the deadly response to it, both belong to him. The “diary” reads like an emergency precaution, a damming alibi: break glass in case of Nuremberg.
The embarrassment of his hubris hides the depraved indifference of his actual crimes, which lead to millions of deaths, uncountable debilitating injuries, reduced life expectancy for us all, trillions of dollars in wealth evaporated, and a massive upward transfer of wealth.
I don’t believe Dr. Fauci took a real Covid shot and then had an adverse reaction. He’s not a fool, and he knew how dangerous the shots were. Joining the ranks of the vaccine injured (only now as he is forced to testify with a shaky 5th amendment claim) is clever.
I know I’ll be raked over the coals for seeing conspiracy everywhere, but let’s be honest. We’re dealing with a guy who, it should now be clear has been conspiring ON THIS TOPIC since the Gain of Function work was initially offshored to China to circumvent the 2014 domestic funding pause WHICH WAS INTENDED TO PREVENT A LAB LEAK CATASTROPHE.
When someone conspires to commit notorious crimes, conspiring to cover their tracks should be expected. The “diary” has us gossiping like mean girls rather than working to get to the bottom of the disaster that was inflicted on us. We mustn’t get distracted.
Loved ones died alone in hospitals. Funerals were banned. High school coming of age moments like football and prom were stolen. Careers ruined over the vaccine. Small businesses destroyed. Military members discharged. Fauci and Big Tech and your Democrat neighbors did this.

Fauci’s lab leak coverup couldn’t have happened without the help of legacy media.
Do you remember how far outlets went to claim the lab leak was a conspiracy?
I’ve got the screenshots. ⤵️
NYC rich people hate MAGA. They see "flyover Americans" as subhuman. We have to stop being outraged on their own behalf. It's what they voted for. Fuck them.
Remember, the government cannot *discount* anything, nor provide “free” stuff. YOU are paying for that with your tax dollars. This is just communist money laundering and will collapse in spectacular fashion, decimating local businesses in the process.
@timothy_stanley It's not a hoax. The resistance comes because the left have successfully hijacked the response to climate change to include a laundry list of changes that need to be made.
Hi there, @volcaholic1.
This is what stupidity looks like.
Unlike you and your emotional, fact-free rant, I have data.
Globally, annual total wildfire burn area, as measured by MODIS instrumentation on NASA satellites, has decreased at a rate of ~1.39% per year since 2002. Now, some (maybe most?) of that has to do with decreased burning of Savannahs in Africa as well as agricultural expansion.
But for forest fires specifically, there has been little change globally over the past two decades, with the linear rate being a slight decrease of 0.46% in burned area per year.
Some areas have seen increases in forest fire burn area, yes, but such anomalies are largely an artifact of forest mismanagement.
The United Nations is not an unbiased and apolitical organization. As a result, the IPCC also isn't unbiased. In fact, it is nothing more than a political arm using science to justify regulation on fossil fuel companies. Since everything people do requires energy, the one way to exert control over them is to control energy. If the IPCC still invited skeptics to the table to draft the reports (which they largely haven't since 2007), their reports would have some credibility.
But post Climategate, the IPCC has little credibility left in the tank, and AR7 will drain that reservoir dry. This is especially true because the questionable, if not outright fraudulent extreme event attribution will be a major component of the section on extreme weather.
My point is that if you believe everything that the IPCC (or United Nations as a whole) says on environmental issues (or any other topic for that matter), then you possess no critical thinking skills whatsoever, are not a serious person, and are not worth wasting time talking to. The only two reasons why you'd believe everything written in these reports, especially in Working Groups II and III, is because (1) you're an idiot or (2) you have political motivations.
If you are anti-fossil fuels, then you are by definition politically motivated.
I personally am neither for nor against. I see them as valuable and necessary, but I am open to alternatives too because I have no financial stakes in this game.
I am a first amendment absolutist. I can loathe every single thing you have to say and still defend your right to say it because I actually believe that sunlight is the best disinfectant and in a fair fight good ideas will aways trump bad ones.
But foreign influence operations conducted by foreign governments are not protected under the first amendment. The first amendment protects Americans from being censored by the government. It offers zero protections to foreign governments and their proxies to conduct covert and these days overt influence campaigns against American citizens who have like zero anti-bodies against this stuff.
We should never prosecute American citizens who are repeating foreign malign propaganda.
But I do think we should aggressively identify, expose, and disrupt coordinated foreign influence operations.
If there are a handful of people whether in the media, or the podcast world or the influencers world that are consistently pushing narratives that originate from hostile foreign actors, and there are credible questions about coordination, undisclosed financial relationships, or direction from a foreign government, federal agencies should be investigating that.
Undisclosed foreign lobbying is illegal, and we should be enforcing all violations. Our adversaries have a ten million dollar a year disinformation budget if you combine them altogether. They understand that the next generation of warfare is all information.
Our adversaries do not need to invade us. They don't have to do anything more than convince people that their country is purchased, evil and corrupt to its core and that its citizens are not capable of governing themselves.
