@AdamSchefter Now they can draft a QB with a lame duck HC. Then next year they can fire Poles and Flus when that doesn't pan out.
Following that, a coaching search where Bill Polian and Ted Phillips outvote Kevin Warren to hire an HC running an outdated defense while the new QB busts
Community Notes don't affect post ranking (and shouldn't, in general -- they often add useful context to correct posts)
But we measured a ~25-35% drop in organic likes & RTs (& smaller drop in QTs, since QTs are sometimes dunks...) in an A/B vs. the same post w/o a note
We may be getting some of the best of both worlds: an organic reduction in spread when users voluntarily decide to share misleading content less after being more informed, without censorship.

Some of the coolest research I’ve been a part of at Twitter- birdwatch has some lofty goals (including fully open source data and algs) for user-driven misinformation detection. Thanks to my awesome coauthors and collaborators!
In the spirit of transparency, Birdwatch makes everything and the kitchen sink public and open source. Today, we’re sharing a paper that details the research, analysis and outcomes that informed its development and helped us understand its performance. 📊 https://t.co/nDeX4Qsrdy
🚨Birdwatch Paper Alert!🚨
I am thrilled to finally be able to share this paper with the detailed results evaluating how effective Birdwatch's bridging algorithm is!
