@koen01317882 League play, tournament play both work if you changed esports to league style it would theoretically work and same if you changed the premier league to a 8 team playoff. Sport is rooted in culture and that would be the biggest factor to enact change, but why? The format works

@koen01317882 Tournament play is such a normal format that is used around the world. Most major sports have their own world cups, football leagues across Europe all have domestic cups, there’s champions league and lower. Olympics mostly used tournament/knockout formats
