BRETHREN! SAY NO TO UBER!
For London taxi drivers contemplating the unthinkable move to sign up to Uber- DON’T!
In my opinion, you’re not joining the future, you are signing away the trade.
If you’re still not convinced, take a look at this…

Good luck.
The taxi industry is being adversely impacted by the forces of hyper-globalisation, with the CEO of Uber smugly profiting from the current high levels of inflation.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of advocacy for the working class from both sides of the political spectrum.

TfL have ceased the Vito project as a component that we have to replace as stipulated by TfL (the DPF that we don't manufacture) developed a fault which negatively affected the emission results at Millbrook. We made some robust proposals to TfL who decided not to accept them.
The Devil we know is a corrupt liar, and the Devil waiting in the wings would take us deeper into the depths of Hell.
I will be voting #ReformUK to save my grandchildren from Hell.
And #SusanHall to oust the Devil incarnate.
Uber will rip the iconic London black cab trade limb from limb. First, the bribes, then depression of the public tariff before finally, collusion for removal of public ranking infra. Then, indepdence is no more, dependence complete. I wish them the best for the resistance.
I have to say Dean is spot on here, there is a red line no proper London Cab driver should cross and this is it.
Uber is trying to derail Bullitt 21 the case is in January.
We do not need Uber.
Cabs Across Bank - link below - is looking to gain evidence from Black Cab users to support the case for reopening Bank Junction for Licensed Hackney Carriages 24/7/365
If you wish to see more taxis in the Square Mile please respond to CAB - details ⬇️🙏🏼

This is so true and explains brilliantly why it is in all our interests to make the effort to use cash 💷
Why should we pay cash everywhere with banknotes instead of a card ?
- I have a £50 banknote in my pocket. Going to a restaurant and paying for dinner with it.
The restaurant owner then uses the note to pay for the laundry.
The laundry owner then uses the note to pay the barber.
The barber will then use the note to pay for shopping.
After an unlimited number of payments, it will still remain a £50 value, which has fulfilled its purpose to everyone who used it for payment and the bank has jumped dry from every cash payment transaction made.
BUT
IF I go to a restaurant and pay digitally via Card,
- the bank fees for my payment transaction charged to the seller are 3%, so around £1.50
( and so will be the fee of £1.50 for each further payment transaction )
-for the owner re laundry or
- payments of the owner of the laundry shop,
- or payments of the barber etc.....
Therefore, after 30 transactions, the initial £50 will exist at only £5, and the remaining £45 has become the property of the bank … thanks to all of the digital transactions and fees!
Use it or lose it folks…
Once it’s gone we won’t get it back!
Cash is king! #CashIsKing
