Life is Art.
In June 2021, we were sitting in my kitchen in Miami post podcast shootings during the first bitcoin miami post COVID lockdown.
I looked up at Sam and Matt
as we were ideating our road map for the years to come, and I blurted, “wouldn’t it be cool if we could experience NFTs IRL in an way that elevates them into the conversation that digital art is art?”
They looked at me and asked, what would that look like?”
I immediately blurted, “an activation during art basel miami.”
“Wouldn’t it be great if we got Christie’s involved somehow?”
The boys looked at me and said, “yeah! Let’s add that to our 18-24 roadmap”
As I sit in the kitchen, something in me said that this was needed sooner than 18-24 mos.
True my nature, I looked at the boys and said, “what if we did it this year?”
“As in, in 6 months?” Sam asked
“YES!” I replied
“Well, it’s crazy undertaking but if you’re willing to lead it we are down.” Matt exclaimed giving me the all too familiar I believe in this look we’ve shared over the years.
And so in that moment, the idea of the Gateway was born!
After a few weeks of ideating, iterating, and planning we put together a proposal for Christie’s to partner with us on this event.
I got on a flight from Jackson Hole to NYC to pitch Noah, who at the time was leading digital art at Christie’s and recently had sold the $69million Beeple.
We arrived at the Christie’s office… we went into an office and then I started our pitch… “would it be a crazy idea…”
At slide 4 Noah saw the vision and said, “let me see what I can do and get this approved as this is exactly the kind of events we need to be part of to move the industry and the art forward.”
The Gateway is truly a special and unique experience.
There’s literally nothing quite like it.
It’s a magical place where art is celebrated, artists are uplifted, and web3 industry is showcased to the world with the highest standards of excellence
Since our 1st Gateway, we went on to create history:
•1st digital media company to cocurate a major auction house sale 3 years in a row
•showcase and elevated over 200+ artists
•Generated $3.8million in sales directly to artists without taking a fee
•Educating the mainstream audience and onboarding people to web3, NFTs, and digital art
•Onboarded thousands of people on to our world
•Becoming the largest and most impactful digital art exhibition in the history Korea
And much much more…
Today, on the eve of Gateway Miami, I am in total gratitude for our team, our partners, the artists and our community for trusting us to showcase and exhibit their art, NFTs, and creation to the world at large.
The Gateway is a physical representation of the traditional and digital worlds coming together to celebrate art.
It’s a place where art, technology, and culture fuse together to empower the creators of culture and celebrate the art that gives our life meaning and color.
The Gateway belongs to the community.
This is why during the 3 years and 4 events we’ve produced, we’ve always made them free and accessible to everyone in the community.
This year, we are taking the Gateway to new heights. We are showcasing the world that digital art is art.
That the web3 community is blossoming in many different ways with Art leading the way.
This Gateway Miami we’ve put it all on the line to uplift our community and be the beacon for the future of web3 and art.
When you join us this week at the Gateway at the bFaena Forum, it is my hope that the art and experience transcends you.
For the purpose of art is to uplift the soul.
Ringing in the ear (tinnitus) can be eliminated
-If the mandible(lower jaw) is too far back, it can impinge on a nerve of the ear.
-Also, if there is inflammation at the TMJ through clenching or trauma, the nerve can also be affected.
-What's the solution in this case? Read on
-Vitamin D3 (along with A,E,& K) is a fat soluble vitamin. It's absorbed more efficiently when taken with fat.
-It is involved in over 2000 chemical processes in the body.
-We've evolved to replenish it everyday, i.e. if you're not getting it from the sun, you must supplement
A primer on vitamin D3
-vitamin D3 levels should be at least 50ng/ml (ideally ~70ng/ml) for optimal health
-Your body can make vitamin D3 from UVB rays. Over exposure to UVA rays cause damage.
-UVB rays are potent around noon (your shadow should be shorter than you)
Red flags in a Child's Jaw and Face Development

-Waking up tired and/or has night terrors or frequent nightmares
According to Dr. James McNamera, roughly 50% of the population have retruded upper jaws, meaning they haven't grown forward enough.
This is the start of a small and constricted airway.
Here are some signs of a retruded maxilla:
Breathing and psychology go hand in hand. The way we breathe plays a huge role in our mental state. Conversely, our mental state can also positively or negatively affect our ability to breathe well.
When you breathe, it should mainly be LSD (light, slow, and deep) through the nose. Overbreathing through the mouth can lead to poor posture, impair gas exchange, sympathetic state dominance, neck tension/pain, narrower jaws (and this more crowded teeth), and other issues.
3 main factors of breathing pattern disorders (according to Patrick McKeown)
-Biochemical (at the molecular level)
-Biomechanical (how you breathe)
-Psychological (your mental state and wellbeing)
Here's a brief synopsis on each.
When Death Came to Visit
By Alej Navia
He came unexpectedly, like a train running off schedule.
With a comforting smile, he showed up at my door.
I’ve always been accepting of my mortality. Just wasn’t aware how fast the clock would tick.
Tick, tock.
As I looked around and within me, I became aware of what brought him to my door.
I notice he is Well dressed.
Not the grim reaper I thought he would be. Quite the opposite, a calming and gentle presence.
Grounding and sobering.
“Death isn’t only about life but also ego” I tell myself in a whisper.
He hears me and shakes his head signaling this isn’t about ego.
What could it be?
“Business and Health” he exclaims with a smile on his face.
I take a step forward with love and faith.
“Thank you for coming, this is not your destination” I explain with a bigger smile on my face.
He lingers around for weeks and months as I smile back with my actions letting him know this isn’t the time for me.
He agrees.
As he departs on his mission of closure, he leaves a few gifts.
Acceptance.
Wisdom.
Clarity.
Divinity.
Fuel.
When death came to my door, I welcomed him in.
When he smiled, I smiled back.
“I came to witness something rarely seen.” He says.
I look on with curiosity.
“Most people aren’t afraid to die they are afraid to Live.”
as he walks out the door he whispers into my heart,
“You’re not one of those...
Keep Living.”
4)Have them breathe exclusively through the nose
5)Avoid inflammatory foods (gluten, pasteurized dairy, soy, excess cane sugar and fructose)
6)Release a tongue tie, if present
How to (almost) guarantee straight teeth for your kids:
1)Healthy pregnancy(tongue ties, craniosacral development)
2)Breastfeed for 1+years (trains the tongue and develops the upper jaw)
3)Eat hard, chewy foods with their mouth closed (develops jaw muscles)
