Fentanyl IN is recommended over IV opioids in kids. One consideration…be sure the dose in your protocol accounts for the intranasal route. Fentanyl at a dose of 1.5-2 mcg/kg IN is safe & will help overcome the dead space of the MAD device as well as nasal runoff. #naemsp2022
