@HMRCcustomers hi. I was on the wrong tax code from September to April and was paying too much tax. This has been sorted now and someone from HMRC said I would get a rebate, is there a way of finding out how much I’ll get? Roughly how long does it take to receive it?

@SW_Help hi. The 11:33 advertised rail replacement bus from Petersfield did not run (I was at station at 11:21). The next bus left at 11:50 and caused us all to miss the connecting train at Haslemere and wait half an hour for the next one. How would I get a refund for this?

@NEUnion Hi. I’ve left teaching and now work for a local authority (I think @unisontheunion is the union people use here). I’ve downgraded my NEU membership to the ex-teacher one. Can I be a member of @unisontheunion as well or will I have to leave the NEU?

@HMRCcustomers Is there any way of clarifying why I have N in my tax code when I haven’t asked to give my tax free allowance to my partner. Would this have been done automatically when I was unemployed? Again, I didn’t request it.

@HMRCcustomers hi. My workplace has the wrong tax code for me. They’ve said they can’t change it unless instructed by you. Can you tell me who I should contact to get this sorted? Thanks!

@HMRCcustomers But I haven’t given away my tax free allowance. Why would this happen? Yes the code I’ve now been issued is 1257L. How long will it take for HMRC to inform my employer of my new code?

@HMRCcustomers Hi. No I haven’t. I was unemployed from Jan to March and was on JSA - I don’t know if that’s affected it. But I also noticed that the job I was in from sept - dec 2023 was the same tax code.

@HMRCcustomers My payslip is 1071T/N on HMRC website is says that I should be 1257 (L I think). Do I need to do something for this to be updated with my employer?

@HeyMissSmith Are the clipboards for AFL? Just left a school that used AFL sheets that we were supposed to do (as well as marking and uploading pics to Tapestry) and OFSTED hated the AFL sheets and said they were a waste of time. That school is no longer using their clipboards!

@_MissieBee Yes. And we do AFL sheets as well as marking. “So OFSTED can triangulate everything”…….problem is we’ve had them now so why should I carry on doing it?

@BootsHelp I don’t need the photos now as we had the funeral yesterday. Tbh I’m not very impressed with the solutions I’m being offered nor with the lack of empathy in recognising what a stressful situation this put me in at an already difficult time.

@BootsUK really disappointed. Used photo kiosk in Oxford street branch to print 54 photos for a funeral. Paid for 54 photos. Waited at machine for a few mins after printing was finished. Got home to find 10 pics missing and I need them for a funeral tomorrow. Thanks for that.

@BootsHelp I can’t do this as I do not live in London and I used the Oxford Street Branch. I also no longer have the receipts as they have been given to the person who organised the funeral

@AldiUK bought a marble cake from your Petersfield store as a Saturday night treat to myself and opened it to find it was mouldy even though the expiry date is 23/8! Devastated! My Saturday night bed picnic is ruined!

@IKEAUK I’ve been waiting since 24th May for a refund on an item which was never delivered as was out of stock. It’s been more than 14 days and I want my money back. Please advise on what I should do to get my money back as I don’t have the item. #ikea #refund

@HeyMissSmith I’m looking for jobs outside of teaching now. I’m done. I think the kids and parents have changed. It’s a shame because I do love working with kids, but I’m so fed up of all the nonsense. It’s not a sustainable.

@BooksandMelanin This is a huge no no in the UK, for GDPR and safe guarding reasons. Over here, you’re not allowed to have your phone on you while in the classroom; some schools make you store your phone in the staffroom. Definitely not allowed to use it to take pics or videos of kids.

@HMRCcustomers I’m trying to update my address but it won’t let me do it online - the website says to call but then doesn’t show which number. Please help! I think I’m owed a tax rebate and need to update my address to get it!
