yes, i am very lucky to have horses. no, i’m not lucky for them to go how they do. that took a lot of effort on my part and a certain level of talent and eye for what i’m looking at - i didn’t just roll out of bed one day to horses that magically learned to go well on their own

i have this brilliant idea that i’m gonna install 3 paddocks and a large pasture’s worth of fencing by myself so this should be an absolute disaster that ends in me laying in the grass crying

@ammystatus the last time i was at a horse show i brought 3 horses with me, fell schooling the first one and got hurt to the point i couldn’t ride for months. never got to even sit on the other 2 horses i had with me nor did i ever actually make it into the show ring that weekend 😂

my working student positions aren’t paid BUT they lesson every time they work (& they only work for like 4-5 hours a few days a week), get free board & training for one horse, and i was paying for their shows
