Last month, I spoke on a Twitter Space about how certain individuals are determined to shape the Nigerian narrative through the traditional media.

I explained how the Nigerian Civil War is often presented from the victor’s perspective, with some using that version of history to suggest that Ndi Igbo deserve whatever treatment they receive in Nigeria today because of the alleged “guilt” of their forefathers.

I also pointed out that many of these individuals found common ground under the APC, where they continue to promote this ideology and reinforce prejudice against Ndi Igbo.

According to them, an Igbo person should not become President of Nigeria, and they repeatedly use the Civil War as a justification for that position.

That’s what fuels the “Peter Obi can never be president” narrative.

That is exactly what Seun Okinbaloye did.

Unfortunately for him, he no longer controls the narrative.
