Deeply saddened at the passing of Nancy Bea Hefley. Proud to have known her, learned from her, and to have followed in her footsteps. Grateful for our friendship. I think of her legacy every time I’m at the stadium. She was the Master of the House. RIP Nancy Bea Hefley.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a strong start against Chicago, despite having his command slip up early.
His arsenal graded out well as he generated a handful of whiffs on his fastball and curveball, leading to 8 K on the day. His 4-Seam lived a lot in the zone, and got hit hard.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a much better outing this time around, as he shutout the Cardinals over 5.0 IP allowing just 2 H with 5 K.
He pounded the zone with 4-Seamers, but failed to induce a whiff or chase on any of them. His secondaries handled the whiffs and graded out better.
