@Delilah75727479 I would just tell him how you are feeling and ask him to wait outside with you. The child can either bring the item with that they want to show him or take it out and show him then bring it back in or even take a picture and show him. But there is no reason he has to go in.
We think today was the 1st time L asked her dad to say hi to me when they talked on the phone. 4 yrs of only being remembered when in person even though she "loves me so much" is quite hurtful. So needless to say her saying hi brought joy to H and I today.
@Delilah75727479 Unfortunately with all the electronics these days everything else is boring π
That being said, Christmas is coming up soon (and many other holidays if Christmas isn't one you celebrate) you can do some crafts to make decorations with them.
@Delilah75727479 As far as time out goes, we finally had to make her sit on the floor facing a blank wall and she couldn't look around until we told her she could get up. That finally got boring enough to work. π€·πΌββοΈ
@Delilah75727479 I know exactly how you feel. H and I both believe in spanking but have never done it because BM would flip. Try putting them in time out each time. And make sure they know time out means sitting there doing nothing. L thought time out meant "playing alone in her room" π
Being a #stepmom takes a special woman! πAlways keep this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt in mind: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." πππ#strongwomen#thestepmomproject
@RightsForDad @evilsrepmum666 Same story here! Idk how she was able to afford a present every other week when we lived close by. π love shouldn't be bought.
Meaning when the PARENT cries, the child soothes rather than the normal child cries parent soothes.
So the anxious cries of an alienated child are actually their attempt to soothe the #narcissist.
#ParentalAlienation
@bertieallsort9 Yes! She does those things too for that exact reason. She has even forced L to wear a bracelet that "shows her love". Just found out that L doesn't actually like wearing it. One day it will all backfire. #impatentlywaiting
Dear BM, it is really sad that you felt the need to force your child to keep your picture as the lock & home screen on THEIR iPad. Especially since it makes her sad every time she sees it. Stop forcing your child to feel a certain way about u, your only hurting your relationship.
I have been wondering all summer how L can have such poor basic listening skills. This morning BM asked the same question that H spent two hours texting the answer and reasoning the other day. I no longer wonder at the lack of listening skills.....
