@derekhiebert Marilyn Robinson has a series of books which are each written from the perspective of a different character in the same small town. The first (Gilead) is written from the perspective of a congregationalist minister toward the end of his ministry.
@SJamesGriffin Mystery and Manners is a posthumously published collection of wonderful essays, but having a sense of her work first (even if cursory) will make them much more meaningful.
@ACShilton Congrats! There is a furniture store just off the square in Livingston that might make a custom one for you. They made one for a custom couch they built for us. We were very pleased with the price and quality.
@PAWnoramic If you can get to campus in the next day or two I think you can access it from the in-house computers at the RTS library. Otherwise, you are looking for a member of a very small group. π
@warne Not directly on Galatians, but if I had to pick a single related resource it would be Guy Waters' "The Life and Theology of Paul." Short, clear, quotable; and it's a resource you can recommend to your congregation.
Unique opportunities to marvel at God's grace arise by reading consecutively through scripture. As DRD might put it - a chance to see we have a God willing to enter the muck of life. Also, good news has come to the awkward and strange.
