HISTORIC DAY FOR LABOR --> @SBWorkersUnited successfully unionized the first 2 Starbucks stores in America and won a majority of votes across all 3 stores in Buffalo today.
Three more Buffalo stores and one Mesa, AZ, store will hold union elections in the coming months.
This is the #starbucksexperience for partners trying to unionize. We are fighting for the right to organize so that all partners can form a union without facing the same intimidation and harassment we are up against in Buffalo. #tobeapartner#partnersbecomingpartners
Corporate is right when they say we don’t want a third party coming in between partners and the company. That’s why we’re calling on Starbucks to end their relationship with Littler Mendelson, the most notorious union-busting law firm in the county.
We are organizing a union to have a voice on the job, a say in the company, and the right to negotiate a fair contract. This isn’t about addressing specific grievances, but fighting for our right to stand together and make Starbucks a better company and place to work.

So one of our regulars often brings us flowers that sit by the register and another customer was like “oh its so nice to have something alive in here” and I’m like you’re right we’re all dead inside here
Every time a customer apologizes for asking for a straw I just think about this and how we blame individuals for climate change while massive corporations are literally setting the world on fire
Every other week some tweet goes viral where some idiot discovers an incredibly normal food prep process at a restaurant and wants us to all be disgusted about it. Food service experience really should be mandatory in this country.
