GROUP EFFORT?

When asked about PH and one word that describes it, #hypercorruption. And then I saw this: “Never before have we been made to feel that we can no longer rely on the government to keep things safe and make our lives secure
The response to rotating blackouts from insufficient power and expensive electricity is to recommend installing solar, as if those are affordable to ordinary people. Instead of ensuring sufficient power is produced, we are told to solve the problem on our own
The response to increasing fuel prices is to push for electric vehicles, as if most of us can afford those, instead of removing the taxes that push fuel prices higher
The response to school shootings and increased violence is to impose stricter gun laws and ban social media, as if hiding the truth will make lies true
The response to flooding and substandard infrastructure projects is to remove political opponents, as if ensuring they win the next elections would magically fix things
I honestly cannot remember a time when the country felt so unsafe, so uncertain, so unpredictable, where people have to find ways to fend for themselves because those who were supposed to ensure our safety are either incompetent or do not care
I miss the days when problems were solved by simple solutions, not complicated ones that make things worse instead of better.”

‘DAPAT SANA ALAM NIYA BILANG MATAAS NA OPISYAL’
Securities and Exchange Commission lawyer Gerardo Del Rosario responds to Senator-judge Raffy Tulfo’s question of whether public officials mentioned in Article VII, Section 13 of the Constitution should divest from companies.

‘WE DESERVE BETTER LEADERSHIP THAN THIS’
Vice President Sara Duterte criticized the Marcos administration over the South Cotabato school shooting, accusing the government of focusing on “political survival and consolidation” and compromising the protection of children.

‘WHAT’S WORSE THAN A MISLEADING QUESTION? IT’S A MISLEADING DOCUMENT’

MISLEADING’
“What is essential in this trial is fairness. If we’re gonna spend the whole morning and afternoon looking at these documents tapos mali ‘yung label, it will prejudice, of course, the Defense and the VP,” saad ni Cayetano.
“It’s very important that kung ano ang ating magiging desisyon as an impeachment court, ‘yun din ang desisyon ng taumbayan,” dagdag pa niya.

‘WHAT IS ESSENTIAL IN THIS TRIAL IS FAIRNESS’
Senator-judge Alan Peter Cayetano questions the presentation of the summary prepared by witness Atty. Gerardo Del Rosario of the Securities and Exchange Commission during the 27th day of the impeachment trial on Monday.
“Just taking note of the defense counsel’s manifestation, what is essential in this trial is fairness. So if we’re gonna spend the whole morning, afternoon looking at these documents, tapos mali ‘yung label, it will prejudice the defense and the Vice President,” Cayetano said.
“This isn’t a PDF or a printed document, pwede naman nila i-edit eh. Ang point ko lang, if it’s just one page and just one mistake then we can say let’s allow it that note. But if throughout this trial or throughout this afternoon, may mali ‘yung label or misleading, what’s worse than a misleading question, it’s a misleading document that will be flashed,” he added.

‘WE DESERVE BETTER LEADERSHIP THAN THIS’
“This reminds us that when a government prioritizes political consolidation over fundamental governance, the protection of children is inevitably compromised,” saad ni VP Sara.
