@bygodgiven This multiplies at team level. When 10 people ship AI-generated code, you get a codebase nobody fully understands. Debugging becomes archaeology.
The productivity gains are real. The collective comprehension debt is what we're still figuring out.
Deleted 43,000 lines of code last month. Not refactored. Deleted.
Our GPU scheduler. 486 commits, years of work. But customers stopped needing the complexity.
Took that out, adding Trainium support became 163 lines.
Code is a liability. The behavior is the asset.
@runtools_ai@sairahul1 The "human approval when it matters" part is tricky to get right. Too much and you kill the productivity gains. Too little and you're debugging something an agent did three tool calls ago with no record of why.
@v_shakthi The runtime monitoring piece is where most teams get stuck. You can grant minimum permissions all day, but if you've got 50 devs running coding agents and something breaks at 2am, how do you even figure out which agent did what? Most orgs don't have that visibility yet.
@NicholasPuru The walking away part is what gets interesting at scale. One dev looping is cool, but 50 devs all running Claude Code loops overnight and something breaks in prod... who shipped what? That's the gap nobody's solving yet.
Everyone's talking about AI coding assistants making devs 10x faster. Nobody's talking about what happens when you have 50 devs all using Claude Code and something breaks in prod at 2am. Who shipped what?
@UPS you delivered someone elseโs package to me at my front porch. I tried to call but there is no option only 20 min of phone tree to get nowhere. I guess thatโs not a problem you are trying to solve
Product Managers: "I want to be confident with no concern about technical failures during and after every software release to users so that our customer's positive experience is only upgraded and not interrupted."
Sad to announce that @getdotscience is shutting down.
