OK, hands up, this is from AI for quickness, but a former executive of Goldman Sachs is currently advising he who would be our new Prime Minister. Their compliance/criminal record:
1MDB Scandal (Malaysia, 2020): $3.9 billion to the Malaysian government, plus over $2.9 billion to U.S. and global regulators (including a $400 million SEC fine and a $154 million Federal Reserve fine).
· 1MDB Scandal (Hong Kong, 2026): $350 million fine from the Securities and Futures Commission over compliance and anti-money laundering failures.
· 1MDB Scandal (UK, 2026): £96.6 million fine from the FCA and PRA for risk management failures.
· Toxic Securities Abuses (2016): $5.06 billion settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice over misleading investors in mortgage-backed securities.
· Recordkeeping Failures (2022): $125 million to the SEC and $75 million to the CFTC for using unauthorized communication methods.
· Mortgage Abuses (2013): $330 million settlement related to faulty mortgage-backed securities.
· Deficient Trade Data (2023): $6 million to the SEC for over 22,000 inaccurate "blue sheet" submissions over a decade.
· Trade Reporting Failures (2025): $1.45 million fine from FINRA for inaccurate data on billions of stock trades.
· Interest Rate Manipulation: $120 million fine from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
· Conflicts of Interest: $250,000 fine from FINRA over an IPO conflict.
This is powerful!!
The video strikingly illustrates the game of misinformation that’s being played by Nigel Farage & others. It shows who’s actually benefiting from it.
Absolutely worth watching!

A Ukrainian drone strikes a bus carrying a Belarusian children's football team in Russia's Bryansk region.
Four children are injured, and one woman is killed.
Isn’t it a shame after all that posh schooling, poor old Zac still doesn’t know basic geography.
The ‘homes’ they are buying are not in ‘Israel’. They are in illegal settlements.
An insight into the mindset. I've met a good few people I dislike in life and on this site, but I've never wished anyone dead. We must wake up and see Zionism for the paranoid apocalyptic cult it is and dismantle it.
Supposed Christian account posting detected AI slop whilst claiming that "...lasting legitimacy can only be restored when authority is once again grounded in truth." 🤣
All pretence cast aside. A vicious attack on the Anti-Zionist movement by the British state acting for the Zionist regime in defence of genocide.
Shameful.

I don't agree with all of Piketty's proposals, but here's centrist media hack Dan doing what they do best. Telling us what's impossible - in this case 'unprecedented global cooperation'? 'Unprecedented' isn't a very powerful signifier because everything we do that we haven't already done is 'unprecedented'. Progress is about doing unprecedented things. What he means is infeasible, but in this case is the sort of win-win system BRICS is trying to organise in the face of the West's financial meddling and military violence infeasible? Difficult, yes, but has major politico-economic change ever been easy?
Is cooperation impossible? International agreements on fixed rate bonds and capital controls allowing public investment without money-market attacks, mutual development partnerships and fair trade, non-exclusionary payment systems, clean energy technology sharing etc. etc. At one time I bet nicely remunerated cynics thought the Treaty of Westphalia would be impossible.
What Dan omits is the realistic alternative - energy crisis, rising costs, increasing wealth gap, consolidation of the oligarchy, the creditor class gorging on the interest of unpayable private debt, grinding poverty, continuous pillage of the developing world (check out the Congo cobalt mines), climate disaster, human redundancy, dumbed-down consumerism, mental health crises, increasing surveillance and authoritarianism, civil unrest and violence, far-right reaction, genocide, constant war and possible nuclear conflict.
He claims to have reforms to manage all these problems, but rarely outlines them in any detail, and when he does, well, do they look effective or even feasible? But he's our expert commentator on the radio and TV! Good old Dan!

He's supposed to be a 'macroeconomist'. He's not, he's a nervous, scaremongering investor. With 2.8% inflation and about 250 billion in $ reserves, we don't need an IMF loan.
Even in 1976 with 16% inflation and low $ reserves the loan was unnecessary - it was to replenish $ reserves to pay off a stupid G10 loan meant to maintain a fixed exchange rate rather than let the £ float freely. They couldn't leave the Bretton Woods mentality behind, even though it was over.
The £ drifted down from $1.8 to around $1.05 in a few years anyway and fluctuated up to 2007. Then the whole shebang crashed. The global finance system runs on the 'confidence' of spivs and gamblers. That's the problem.
It is beginning to look like the furore about Datacentre's in Scotland is being stoked by the Unionist cause.
Data sovereignty is a real thing - and an independent Scotland wont be allowed its own datacentres because London wont allow it.
Then there is the key issue - Faslane.
