More than 50,000 Muslims are set to gather at Britain's largest Islamic festival in a matter of days.

Muslims from around the world are set to attend the Jalsa Salana UK convention near Alton, Hampshire this weekend.

The Jalsa Salana is expecting members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community from over 100 countries to attend, with a staff of nearly 5,000 volunteers.

Organisers said they have "extensive measure in place" to keep attendees safe at the convention - which has been held for around six decades.

“Committed Jihadist” Associate of Manchester Synagogue Killer Faces Sentencing.

Mohammad Asim Bashir, 31, drove the man who later slaughtered two at a Manchester synagogue on a chilling recon mission to a UK Defence Academy- plotting a major terror attack on British soil.

A long-standing extremist, Bashir helped scout the MoD site just weeks before Jihad Al-Shamie’s October 2025 knife-and-car rampage at Heaton Park Synagogue, which claimed Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby.

Today at Manchester Crown Court: Sentencing for preparing terrorist acts. Prosecutors: “A committed jihadist” obsessed with violent jihad.
