@Genetics56 I have to disagree. Get rid of the committee, Go with AQ and put a clear path forward for everyone to decide on the field. Seeding and 1-2 at large can be computer based.
@overrated_sec Alabama has been very good but has been handed opportunities in 2011, 2017 and 2023. They’ve been lucky in 2008 (McCoy) and 2012 (undefeated OSU ineligible). I don’t think they’ve ever ended up on. The wrong side of a close call.
@NicoleAuerbach I think it gives them flexibility to keep them there or move them with a loss. May depend on how they look,OT loss, fluke ending, etc. or it’s just SEC bias at its best!
@dannykanell Put them both in and drop Bama. Miami beat FSU and Alabama lost. Plus the ACC vs SEC matchups didn’t quite show an overly strong SEC this weekend.
@ClayTravis FYi - It’s Alabama in the last spot not ND. And Miami had a win over a common opponent where Alabama has a loss (FSU). Texas is rightfully done!
@CFBHeather@ESPNRittenberg@espn How does guessing with a committee get you “the best teams”. Put in a structure that makes teams earn it on the field like every other sport. AQ’s will work. 5th best team doesn’t need a shot.
@Genetics56 I think anyone listing Alabama 2nd is right up there with the LSU person. They still lost by 14 to a bad FSU team and that loss still should count
@joelklatt@OhioStateFB@IndianaFootball@AlabamaFTBL@oregonfootball@AggieFootball 1) Ohio State
2) Indiana
3) Tex A&M
4)Oregon
5)Miami
6)Alabama
7)Ga Tech
8) Georgia
9) ND
10) BYU
Miami and Alabama have a common opponent which puts Miami ahead. You could make an argument for Louisville but Miami’s strong OOC gives them the edge. Undefeated means something.
@AmicoHoops What is the most the Cavs could pay LeBron if he were bought out? Would the league be ok with a Bronny for a 1st round pick deal that could motivate the Lakers to do a buyout?
@lindacohn@SportsCenter@KirkHerbstreit Completely wrong take. Most deserving should be the criteria. Otherwise we can set the playoff field at the beginning of the year. Plus, don’t lose 3 times!
@Lane_Kiffin Don’t lose 3 games to lesser opponents! Indiana earned it and dominated their schedule. The teams that earned it made the playoffs. Results don’t change that.
