@JG_Nuke I expect there will be more cancellations from here on out...however, the precarious nature of the whole structure suggests that if you don't go now there's zero path for successful IPO in the future.
@stavridisj ditto, it should be remembered that when empires fail they start acting in erratic ways, flailing about etc, doing things that otherwise would have been thought impossible.
@JohnnyRivers33@AndrewYang Like I posted before, someone has to verify that these are actually of value...we can't just accept that these have worth, that would be very poor judgement.
Nobelist Milton Friedman on price controls:
“If you want a shortage in lettuce, we’ll set a maximum legal price for lettuce below the price that prevails in the market and I GUARANTEE you will have a shortage of lettuce."
THIS IS ECONOMICS 101.
Instead of denouncing my friend, mentor and Nobelist Milton Friedman, VP JD Vance should stick to knitting. If he bothered to listen to Friedman, he might learn a thing or two.
@DylanRatigan The dollar will remain for a long time. Debasement only works if people are forced to use it. As Greenspan said about SS benefits, it applies here too, "We can guarantee cash benefits as far out and at whatever size you like, but we cannot guarantee their purchasing power."
@maxlevrge@DylanRatigan Because it does so under the radar and often the impact can be delayed the 'authorities' get to pretend that the inflation is not of their making. However, people today are much less willing to accept that as truth, in fact people are now very angry about these deceptions.
