Today marks 82 years, aka the All-American anniversary, of D-Day and the Allied Forces’ invasion of Normandy and establishment of a Western Front in Europe. This event was an ultimate turning point that led to victory in WWII. #82nd
Customer service and client appreciation are critical in every industry. We all know that but often make it more complicated than it needs to be. This is an example of next level appreciation from a recent @Delta flight. Thanks to Natalie for a great flight. Wow!
I thought for sure my @CurDogFootball jersey number was retired decades ago. Must have been unretired recently. I wasn’t consulted. Proud to know it was shared by future fellow @WestPoint_USMA graduate. Congratulations! #LongGrayLine
This was a unexpectedly quick ending to a painfully long drawn-out decline. We're grateful it was peaceful.
More than that, we're grateful for the time we had before dementia stripped him of so much.

Continuing an annual tradition started by a long-time Sentinel writer who believed that if columnists are going to tell you what they think, they should first tell you where they stand, what they believe and who's paying them.
An annual disclosure.

I've never cared much about the Sentinel's long-running "Ticked Off!" column.
It always just struck me as a bunch of grumpy griping about everything from taxes to gas-passing.
But I got dragging into this fury-sphere last week, and man, it was a wild ride.

I met Dale Weiner when he was an Asst. 35 plus years ago, and I knew then he was a Star. It was inspirational seeing him
Last night! Kudos to @MayorSidEdwards for transporting him with help from his aides. Congratulations Coach and to my cousin Greg Brandao the former Headmaster at Catholic of BR I know is proud.
Congratulations to former @CurDogFootball head coach @CoachDWeiner on his election to the @LaSportsHall Class of 2025!
Coach Weiner will be inducted at a ceremony in Natchitoches tonight.
Weiner led the Bears from 1987-2016 amassing 282 victories, 18 district titles, and the school's first state championship in 2015.
We can all prioritize mental wellness by incorporating it into our daily routines. Sending thank-you notes, random acts of kindness and even decluttering your space are great places to start. https://t.co/bpDG67tXSg
Colonel Geraghty was a great American and I was incredibly fortunate to have him as an uncle. He was my hero and will be dearly missed. Uncle Tim shared a signed copy of your book with me and it’s nothing short of outstanding. Thank you for telling their story. #SemperFi#RIP
I was so saddened to learn of Colonel Timothy Geraghty’s recent passing. Colonel Geraghty commanded the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit (MAU) in Beirut at the time of the October 23, 1983, Marine headquarters and barracks bombing. That 6:21 a.m. terrorist attack claimed the lives of 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers in what was the largest single day loss of life for the United States Marine Corps since the battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
Colonel Geraghty and his men were placed in an impossible situation, ordered to serve as peacekeepers in Beirut, Lebanon - a threat environment that deteriorated by the day. He was one of only two officers punished over the attack and though Congress and the Pentagon placed the blame on his shoulders, his own men did not. That was evident when he approached the lectern at the fortieth Beirut veterans reunion in 2023. “I will follow you anywhere, sir!” one man yelled.
James Scott @jamesmscott3 and I had the privilege of working with Colonel Geraghty on our book TARGETED: BEIRUT, for which we will always be grateful.
Retired Marine Major General James Lariviere summed the colonel up best this week: “Geraghty was a great Marine who took the bad hand he was dealt with honor.”
