I've slowed this down.

In the huddle, one or more ICE officers shout 'GUN'. This caused another officer to draw his sidearm.

Another officer removed the man's sidearm, and then walked away, but it was discharged negligently (see for yourself).

The Sig P320 is notorious for NDing, but typically only when dropped.

That then triggered the other agents to think that the man on the ground, Alex Pretti, had begun shooting, so they neutralised the perceived threat.

If this is what happened, it's an incredibly unfortunate accident in Minneapolis.

Imagine looking out your window, wheels down, seconds from landing, and suddenly the pilot slams the throttle and pulls straight up.

​That’s what happened to Southwest Flight 2504 at Chicago Midway. They were feet from the ground when a private jet just casually strolled onto the runway without clearance.

​The investigation just confirmed the worst part: The private pilot was TOLD to stop. He repeated the order. And then he crossed anyway.

​The Southwest pilot’s split-second reaction is the only reason 143 people went home to their families instead of the morgue. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is now threatening to pull licenses, and frankly, it’s about time.
​If you can't follow a simple instruction, you don't belong in a cockpit.

There was a line from Zohran Mamdani’s inaugural address yesterday that took my breath away. He said he intended to replace “the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” Collectivism in its various forms is responsible for the deaths of at least one hundred million people in the last century. Socialist and Communist forms of government around the world today—Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc.—are disastrous. Catholic social teaching has consistently condemned socialism and has embraced the market economy, which people like Mayor Mamdani caricature as “rugged individualism.” In fact, it is the economic system that is based upon the rights, freedom, and dignity of the human person. For God’s sake, spare me the “warmth of collectivism.”
