I try as much as possible to avoid & ignore news on social media. Instead, I actually start with email newsletters. These are 3 emails I read every morning for my source of news.

After reading Atomic Habits by @JamesClear, here are a few key takeaways. This isn’t a summary or overview of the book, just the points that stood out to me the most. There’s a lot more great stuff in there, so definitely recommend reading it.

When she got back to the airport this morning, they told her the flight left last night without her. No notification or phone call. They couldn't get her another flight until 6pm tonight. This is why @United is the worst. (3/3)
We know all airlines are bad, but today @United is extremely horrible.
My wife and 2 young kids were at Chicago Ohare aiport waiting for a connecting flight at 6pm. Due to storms it was delayed till 10pm - understandable. (1/3)
Then she was told the @united flight was delayed until 7am the next morning. With 2 young kids under 5 years old, she booked a hotel near the airport to get some sleep. (2/3)
In Vancouver… family at a park offered us snacks. Uber driver gave helpful recommendations. Airport security was calm and polite. Niceness is a whole vibe in Canada. 🇨🇦

This isn’t a crisis of mass stabbings, or mass stranglings, or mass poisonings. It’s a crisis of mass shootings. The definition of the problem itself already tells you the solution. There’s no confusion around how to solve this, just refusal.
What better way to celebrate #EarthDay2022 🌎 than with a #StaffSpotlight?

I’m grateful to be resting with my kids and not fleeing with them.
I’m grateful to be watching the orange glow of a sunset and not an explosion.
I’m not sure how gratitude will help those suffering, but it’s better than complaining about trivial things.
Pushkin Square, maybe less than 1000 meters from Red Square and the Kremlin, is the cite of a significant protest. These people know the risks of challenging the regime. They’re on the street in-spite of major personal costs.
This morning I dressed my kids in peace, sipped my coffee in peace, and sat down to remote work in peace. While elsewhere in the world… I have no adequate words for how this is unfair, how this is wrong, how this is allowed, and how this even is.
Putin is nothing more than a single man. But soldiers blindly obey him and citizens passively permit him. It’s the same with dictators everywhere. When will we stop allowing unstable, fragile, egotistical man-children to have their way, both at home and abroad?
