@rnrgh75@DeoDomu1que@LeeHarris Her answer was a small part of multiple reasons for racism. And, you hate an entire race because a small proportion commit heinous crimes?
Okay.
Fucking hell.
@Hedzer15@DeoDomu1que@LeeHarris Like fucking, duh(!) Obviously.
But thatโs a technicality. The point is prejudice and discrimination. Whether you call it racism or religious bigotry, itโs the same behaviour.
@DeoDomu1que@LeeHarris I've never voted Green.
And her answer was a tiny part of reasons for racial hatred. Do you honestly think a full answer could have been given about a complex phenomenon affecting all races based on various causes, or did you just want her to say "islam/Muslims" etc.
@ALAW2025@LeeHarris I could make a statement like "a lot of Americans like Donald Trump and support anything he says or does"
It doesn't mean I could explain it. Asking ANYONE to explain racial hatred is a big ask.
@Badrinath1969@LeeHarris It was a "gotcha" question, and there was no answer she could give that would have satisfied the answer he wanted. It was still vague though, and he had zero ability to elaborate on what he wanted answered. Plus, the real answer is complex. He answer was only a small part of it.
@ltdancoin@LeeHarris Enough people on this thread have made it clear the "correct" answer was Muslims/Radical Islam. So unless the answer is clearly the same to everyone, then to many, the answer to the question is not clear and has multiple causes.
@ltdancoin@LeeHarris Let's see. He thinks "Muslims" and basically wanted someone to: A. Say it for him
B. Not say it.
Either way, he can be lauded and she can be criticised.
There's no simple answer to "where does racism come from? "
@clarnaclan@LeeHarris It's vague. Does he expect an answer to be a cause, a place, a type of person etc.? If he'd asked what's causing it, it would have been a bit clearer. But even so, the causes of racism are wide. And we're not talking about racism being from just one group of people to another.
