The UN’s “gender equality” lie needs no elaboration, as men are ERASED GLOBALLY, but I’m here to break down how Palestinian men get a fleeting spotlight—just to prop up women’s causes.

The Global Erasure of Men:
In the UN’s framework, men’s issues are invisible. Sustainable Development Goal 5 has NINE targets solely for empowering women and girls, from ending violence against them to boosting their leadership and education (Sustainable Development Goals Report, 2025).
No mention of boys’ higher out-of-school numbers globally, men’s more than doubled suicide rates globally, or around 90% male workplace deaths (UNESCO, 2025; WHO, 2025; ILO, 2025).
There’s no “UN Men” agency to match UN Women (and the main UN is already in favor of women), which operates numerous social media accounts across platforms like X and Instagram, with millions of collective followers championing women’s causes (UN Women Social Media Accounts, 2025).

International Men’s Day on November 19 continues to be overshadowed by World Toilet Day, with limited UN promotion compared to multiple women-focused observances (UN Observances Calendar, 2025).
Crisis aid disproportionately targets girls, with UNICEF prioritizing gender equality and empowerment for girls and women in humanitarian responses (UNICEF Gender Action Plan, 2022–2025).
Men are HeForShe “allies,” addressing women’s issues with no reciprocity for challenges like homelessness or custody biases (HeForShe Campaign Launch, 2014).

The Palestine Exception:
In Palestine, men emerge as victims—but only for geopolitical optics.
A March 2025 UN report details Israel’s systematic sexual violence, including genital torture targeting Palestinian male detainees (UN Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory, 2025).
The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights’ July 2024 report notes thousands of Palestinian men detained, beaten, starved, with ongoing 2025 updates on arbitrary detentions (OHCHR Arbitrary Detention Report, 2024; Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, 2025).
UN Human Rights flags men shot scavenging in Gaza, with 2025 inquiries probing male-specific traumas like dog attacks (UN Human Rights Gaza Update, 2025).
Non-Palestinian men’s crises, like about 18 daily US veteran suicides or 60-80% male homelessness in Europe, get no focus.
It’s optics, not fairness (VA National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report, 2025; Eurostat, 2025).

The Plot Device Twist:
This spotlight is a ruse. UN Women’s latest available survey on Palestinian men’s gender views, finding 42% back female leaders, aims to enlist them for women’s causes, not male aid (Understanding Masculinities in Palestine, 2018).
A 2025 report ties occupation stress to increased gender-based violence, framing it as women’s suffering, not male trauma (UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women, 2025).
Men’s job losses in Area C (Israeli-controlled West Bank) prop up women’s economic woes, with massive losses since October 2023 exacerbating vulnerabilities (UN Women Gender Alert, 2025).
Gaza violence reports mention male abuse to pivot to women’s health (UN Women GBV Snapshot, 2025).

Many people rightfully call out the UN for framing Palestinian men’s suffering as a mere backdrop to women’s narratives (UN Commission of Inquiry Report, 2025).

If International Men’s Day were “International Palestinian Men’s Day,” the UN would roll out the fanfare.
Instead, it’s buried under World Toilet Day on November 19—a trolling middle finger to men’s issues while women’s days get the spotlight (UN Observances Calendar, 2025).

The UN needs to either shape up, or be abolished.

@TRHLofficial Don't forget that around 60% of native citizens can trace their lineage back to a slave. I doubt that even if a hundred mil was earmarked, no one, myself included, would get more than a buck fifty as reparations if they were acually paid out nation wide.
