Your hate for pro wrestling has zero reasoning. Here's a list of people who can't enjoy wrestling. The worst one is thinking you "Cracked the code" when watching a match AKA "if that was real." - People who treat every form of entertainment like a courtroom They sit there going “objection, this is predetermined” the entire time, as if the point of a movie, play, or concert is to prove it’s real instead of to make you feel something. - The “I only watch real sports” crowd They’ll scream at a referee in the NFL for a bad call and then clutch their pearls that wrestling has a script. Same brain, different jersey. - People whose identity is built on not being fooled Their whole personality is “I see through the matrix.” Wrestling is just another thing they can smugly reject so they can feel smarter than the rest of us. Chronic cynics who think emotional investment is weakness - They can’t let themselves care about a character arc or a title reign because caring means the promotion “won.” They’d rather stay cold and unmoved than risk looking like a mark.
