Our lead came up with the FABULOUS idea of ‘the masked reader’ for world book day. Each teacher will record themselves reading the blurb of a book with a filter. A montage is created and the children have to guess who the masked reader is! I think I’m more excited than the kids🤣
During this pandemic and period of remote learning there have been many bonkers suggestions but has anyone else noted the huge safeguarding gaps? Inspectors zooming in? Volunteers testing children in schools no DBS required? Run before and after schools clubs with one person?
@tes@Ofstednews Dear Lord No!
Children are learning at home because 1000s of people are dying including teachers & their families & nurses, doctors, teaching assistants, bus drivers, plumbers,
Let's just focus on the priority which is keeping kids & communities safe!

So @GavinWilliamson says primaries are to start testing staff on Monday.
Today is Wednesday and unless I’ve missed something there’s been:
No guidance
No tests delivered
No training
No wider communication
Therefore, there will be:
No chance of getting this going by Monday.
So lovely to see parents all over the country tweeting that they’ve contacted Ofsted so say they’re pleased with what their children’s school are providing for their remote learning offer!

Okay so I think I'm right in saying all the union's have advised to contact headteachers. Did any other headteacher get the memo on what we are supposed to be doing?
