World leaders attending #COP27 are calling for a more urgent drive on delivering greater amounts of renewable energy.

Here in Somerset, this call is being answered by plans for a new Local Area Energy Plan, along with a number of community-based renewable energy projects. (1/2)

@thehistoryguy My dad is surveying a boat in Portugal next week where this has happened. Local chat in Lisbon suggests circa 100 instances in last year and Orcas appear to be showing young how to do it. No one is sure whether they think it’s a game or not!

@ChrisGPackham yes, agreed. Our mowing team can make decisions themselves. We put a decision tree together with the local wildlife trust to help us, and so people know what we're doing. We're not perfect, but we're cutting est. 25% less grass than we were 3 years ago. https://t.co/Ix8GArgbkZ

@blueisaac1 @louisenobladder @SWTCouncil We put these signs in our parks last year. We cut a metre maintenance strip along all paths every 4 weeks (except May!). If we didn’t the paths would get overgrown fast. Keeping them clear for cyclists, scooters is another (minor but) important commitment in our climate strategy
