Many looks to the budget as an economic indicator but in Malaysia you should not. Reason is the budgeting process. It is basically the ongoing cost. If the PM wants some things new in & it create a big deficit, some ongoing jobs will be cut. So it is not an economic indicator!

Malaysian economy needs to be reviewed thoroughly and do the necessary changes that may have long term effects. Short term measures will pleased the B40 but are very damaging in the long term.
