@AetherCzar 3/3 The Jewish & Christian position was that matter is created good, but corrupted by the fall. This corruption is removed in the Resurrection. Athens had a simplistic explanation that evil came from matter, qua matter.
@AetherCzar 2/3 When the Apostle speaks of the resurrection the Athenians regarded spirit as good and matter the source of all evil. Why would deceased spirits want to be burdened with a body again?
@AetherCzar 1/3 Christianity embraced the notion of Logos, but rejected Athen's insistence that matter is evil. This gave neoplatonist Christians heartburn. It explains the insistence upon incarnation by the Greek churches.
@EdmundBurke_ESQ@omriceren I may not understand your complaint, but it would seem that "navigating Israel out of the incoherence of the Oslo accords" is the only rational response to 10/7
@AntiLeftMemes I stopped listening to Mr. Stern when he was the morning drive shock jock in Washington, DC. He said anyone like me should stop listening. I took his advice. Haven't regretted that decision for 40 years.
@TrumpsHurricane This already happened. If it were Mexico going to war with us, it was Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. To the victor go the spoils.
@Sofia50020Sofia My mom was the best shot in the house growing up. My daughter was the best shot in my house when she was growing up. Yeah, I'm really uncomfortable. Sure. Stupid question.
