@FredGarvinReal I expose in my book how both McCain and Marc Ratner conspired to destroy MMA in the 1990s on behalf of members of the boxing industry, far more than anyone else has. Free to read soon, scout's honor.

@Home_of_Fight@adinross Dana hands an influencer half a million for being a degen gambler while paying UFC fighters-who fight for life and limb-12k and 12k:not to mention the quarter mil he slid to the Nelk boys. White identifies more with obnoxious influencers than UFC fighters.Time for a regime change
@nicoaliwalsh Mr. Walsh, please consider supporting @MMAFA as they are fighting to preserve the original Ali Act (2000). They actually won $375 million in a recent lawsuit for fighters, proving Zuffa/TKO is an exploitative monopoly, same as Don King had been with your grandfather and boxers.
@arielhelwani The UFC "allowed" Ngannou to sunset out of his contract because they were losing an antitrust lawsuit that exposed how they're an oppressive monopoly. That lawsuit was brought up by @MMAFA and you should point that out since they fought for all MMA fighters and are still doing so
@RepMcGarvey Muhammad Ali would never have supported this abomination of a bill, tailor made for a multi-billion dollar corporation that's well known for ripping fighters off. Go support something you have more familiarity with, like KFC, since you obviously know nothing about UFC.
@FredGarvinReal It came up in the UFC antitrust lawsuit their matchmaker once stated, "We own MMA" and told #1 welterweight contender Jon Fitch he wouldn't give him a title shot unless he was "locked up" in a coercive indefinite contract. Fighters are like slaves to the UFC, and the judge agreed
@GhosterCoaster@JackSlackMMA Yes, Zuffa pretty much got away with the lie and don't seem to be too worried anymore. But Ari Emanuel is still out there, saying in interviews that Dana White created the UFC 30 years ago, totally retconning UFC's origin.
@AlessandroGelke@robnashville@GrayMaynard Yes, this, and imo, several other awful things. But many UFC fighters pre-2001 can tell you what a great person Joe was. Then, when the Fertittas came into the picture, he totally changed. There is a reason for that, and when you learn the whole story, it is easy to understand.
@AlessandroGelke@robnashville@GrayMaynard Yes, I know. Many fighters do #JoeSilvaStories There is plenty to criticize him over, but before casting aspersions, one should know the whole truth, and I am the only one who has written about it.
@4_Ben_Media It's a different dynamic in the fight industry(many details)compared to team sports, making it difficult for fighters to organize which is why Congress deemed fighters(boxers) required special protection from fight promoters(Ali Act 2000). Now UFC/Zuffa is undoing that protection
@RondaRousey@NateDiaz209@PlatinumPerry@netflix No one fought harder for MMA fighters than @MMAFA , who spent 10 years in federal court winning a $375 million settlement for them. The sellouts in Congress threw MMA fighters under the bus, so it behooves them to get behind these judicial efforts to hold UFC's owners to account.
@UsmanTime Yet the UFC claims, "We're the ones taking all of the risks" when it comes to promoting MMA, and keeping 85% of the take. Hats off to these warriors who have the guts to fight in a cage and ๐ to the UFC for short-changing them.
@FredGarvinReal I understand. It's hard for me because I am a witness, not a professional writer. But I did work with a professional writer to get the story out for the world to see.
@FredGarvinReal Yes, he is brilliant at what he does best. And I tell his whole story that he wouldn't tell J. Snow, which is the true UFC story, "The Untold Story of the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Rise to Power"
