Swaying off the ball can cause lots of issues with striking the ball consistently. Here I’m explaining what swaying looks like and a method to start to improve it. Using an object to the side of your hip can give great feedback for both your practice swings and the shot itself.
Having your hips move excessively to the left in the downswing is called a ‘slide’. This can have the effect of moving the head backwards. In all that movement, body rotation suffers, and the hands become more active.

Here is a great role if you lose connection during the backswing. When we lose connection the arm moves out and off the chest. This can often be due to poor concepts or a lack of body rotation during the takeaway.
