Literally crying in the Target parking lot right now. 🧵
I was struggling with unloading my toddler, my bags and wrangling an unruly cart (seriously — why do some lack power-steering?) A fire truck from Redondo Beach (E61) had just parked nearby and four firefighters got out.
Because Quebec and Southern California's fire seasons are reversed, the two places struck an innovative deal where LA County leases two big air tankers with pilots & crews from Quebec every fall. They're in the skies above LA now, fighting our fires. Merci, Quebec!
Buckle up, we’re going to take you on a journey through all 100 NT Lives (you heard that right).

If you guys will allow me to be emo for a moment, I want to share these photos of my uncle David who died of AIDS when I was little. My family was super Catholic & never talked about him much, but tonight they shared these of him with the Dallas Men’s Chorus & his partner Randy
@themisscocoperu You were Bitter, Bothered, and Beyond Brilliant last night! And the Laurie Beechman shout-outs made my entire week. Thank you from me, and from my 14-year-old self who wore out his off-brand Sears “Walkman” obsessing over the “Joseph” OBC cassette tape. ❤️❤️❤️
when i came out as trans in senior year of HS, I sent an email to all my former & current teachers as well as the administrators to let them know of my name change & pronouns. (this was over 10 years ago). The vice principal emailed me, asking me to visit his office. (1/?)
I sent an email to Emma Thompson asking her to read my play back in the day never expecting a reply. Her agent said mail the play. A few months later I received a lovely 2 page handwritten letter by Emma, a blurb in support and a small check to help it get produced.
