Whilst the headlines will obviously focus on the impact of tonight’s result on the title, this result confirms Aston Villa’s place in the Champions League/European Cup for the first time in 41 years.

The job Unai Emery has done there is absolutely sensational. When he replaced Steven Gerrard, Villa were 17th with 9 points from 11 games, had -9 GD and looked utterly rudderless. He’s a top coach in every sense.
