We spend more time in other people's thoughts or experiences than in our own. Before computers in our pockets, to receive someone else's thoughts you had to talk to them. Read it. Or just deliberately make time for it (e.g. movies)
The power of media is that it makes you think or experience someone else's thoughts. Every post here is someone else's thought. Every mindless TikTok I consume an experience of someone else.
