The Liberal Party had power for 9 years. They broke promise after promise after promise. They promised to achieve a surplus every year. To “stop the waste”. But there was no surplus. They also made savage cut backs after promising they wouldn’t. Where was the media outrage? For all their broken promises? The fact that the Rudd/Gillard government did a lot, but the Liberals accused them of wasting money, but when the Liberals had the chance, they wasted money, and didn’t bring down the debt. Or actually do anything.

What is that government’s legacy? They had 9 years to do something? Labor has a legacy. They brought Medicare, superannuation, the NDIS. The Liberal Party brought us GST, pokies, and selling off anything that’s not bolted down. Schools. Hospitals. Aged care. Our power companies. They have always tried to dismantle Medicare. Our universal healthcare system. The Liberal Party opposed cheaper medicine. The Liberal Party opposed fee-free TAFE. The Liberal Party opposed building more public housing. And they didn’t even contribute to public housing when they were in government. They gave money to Murdoch’s Foxtel. An American billionaires Foxtel. But cut to our public broadcaster. The ABC.
The Liberal Party wouldn’t raise the minimum wage. Or the age pension. Or give aged care workers a a raise. Labor has done that in their first term. And Labor has achieved a surplus. So the bullshit that the Liberal Party are better economic manager is a myth.

In Victoria, Australia’s second biggest state, The Liberal Party didn’t contribute to any big infrastructure projects that the state government has done all from the state budget. They however gave a substantial amount to NSW (Liberal state) of course.

Still in all of this, our media favours the Liberal Party. Lets them whinge and rant and talk shit without correcting their bullshit.

I reckon if we had a balanced and fair media in Australia, not many people would vote Liberal.
Only those who are extremely wealthy. And they are a small minority.
