@beloved2837@JokombaJibreel@As_Sahiidiyy I think it's the mushaf for the most part. I think it has to be stated clearly for those doing it wrongly not to use it as justification.
Bismillah
We can’t continue to register an act of ibaadah void or valid without properly studying what constitutes validity and invalidity.
Before I proceed to responding, there are 3 categories of Islamic matters( jurisprudence or creedal)
Knowing these 3 categories of Islamic matters will not only enable you how to handle disagreements but also prevent you from falling into mistakes of scholars, those whom Allah has forgiven for same mistake you are falling into. The evidence for this last statement is the popular hadith.
: إذا حكم الحاكم فاجتهد ثم أصاب فله أجران، وإذا حكم فاجتهد ثم أخطأ فله أجر
"If an haakim passes a ruling based on ijtihad and is correct, he will get two rewards. But if he passes a ruling based on ijtihad and makes a mistake, he will get one reward."
This is solely for those who sincerely pass judgment based on what they have studied in line with the Quran and Hadith, not some kind of whim-driven fatwa.
These categories are:
المسائل الإجماعية
These are matters recorded generations after generations to be a consensus amongst scholars
The second category is:
المسائل الاجتهادية
هي المسائل الفقهية التي لم يرد فيها نص قطعي من القرآن أو السنة، بل تعتمد على اجتهاد العلماء في استنباط الحكم بناءً على الأدلة الشرعية والمقاصد العامة للشريعة.
They are jurisprudential issues for which there is no definitive text from the Quran or Sunnah. Instead, they rely on scholars' independent reasoning (ijtihad) to derive rulings based on Islamic legal evidence and the general objectives of Sharia.
In this kind of matters, when you study the available evidences and principles, you'd find out that they are both supportive to the argument of both parties involved. Examples of matters like this are the number of Taraweeh rakah, should they be 8, 20 or more?
The last category is
المسائل الخلافية
These are matters where there are two or more opinions, but the available evidences are supportive to only one opinion. In this category, the other opinion(s) would be classified as a mistake from the scholars who held them and in shaa Allah, Allah will forgive them for such mistakes. It is in these kind of matters we have what we call “Alqawlu Raajih” (the acceptable position)
The issue of reciting suratul faatiha on solah falls under the 3rd category. The only time it becomes mandatory to recite it is either when praying alone or leading a congregation. This is based on the Hadith
لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ بفاتحة الكتاب
“He who doesn’t recite suratul faatiha doesn’t have solah.”
However, the Hadith of Abu bakrah says:
ركع مع النبي قبل أن يصل إلى الصف وهو راكع، فلما سلم النبي ﷺ قال له: "زادك الله حرصًا ولا تعد"
“He(Abu bakrah) bowed in ruku with the Prophet while the Prophet was already in ruku. When the Prophet finished the prayer, he said to him: ‘May Allah increase you in eagerness, but do not do it again.’”
What he did that the prophet warned him was that he bowed (performed ruku) before reaching the row. As in he bowed right from the entrance then walked while in that position till he joined the row.
Obviously, the one who only met the imam in ruku did not meet faatiha, neither does he recite faatiha. What we know is that the prophet would have told him to pay back the rakah he observed starting from ruku, just like he told a man to repeat his prayer because he didn’t perform ablution properly.
The school of thought that holds the opinion that faatiah must be recited even behind imam is wrong.
Muslims are not loud enough in propagating our religion, and non-Muslims have taken advantage of that silence.
By Allah, an average Muslim sees a fellow Muslim publicly saying, “Allah is the Lord and Savior. Jesus is not God; he is a servant and Messenger of Allah,” words that are DIRECT VERSES OF OUR HOLY QUR'AN and immediately labels it CONFRONTATIONAL,PROVOCATIVE, DIVISION and EXTREMIST, regardless of how it is delivered.
Yet these same Muslims see nothing wrong or provocative when Christians publicly declare, even in their Parlor and rooms, that “Jesus is the Son of God and the only Savior.” In fact, it is seen as normal. Our heads have been programmed this way.
The reckless and unnecessary outrage over the earlier posts that Eyo Festival and Christmas are not for Muslims is largely because Muslims have failed to consistently teach and explain the meaning of Suratul Ikhlas, a chapter many love to recite in salah, yet clearly shows how limited our understanding of Islam has become and HOW WE HAVEN'T LOUD OUR RELIGIOUS INJUCTIONS.
We will continue to post about Islam. If it makes you uncomfortable, expect more.

While folks here get distracted by sponsored ethnic & religious battles, folks in the Houses of Power are stealing all they can from the public purse. You should see what these hoodlums you "voted in" are quoting for so-called infrastructure projects. None of that angers you?

This is Abayomi Sunday Fasina, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), who has taken advantage of his relationship with Ekiti State CP Joseph Eribo to instigate the detention of @fijnigeria's @sodeeqaatanda by the police in Ado-Ekiti.
Sodeeq's only crime is writing about Fasina's repeated attempts to sleep with a married female staff of the university against her will.
Should something happen to Sodeeq, VC Fasina is the second man, after CP Eribo, to hold responsible.

@fijnigeria's @sodeeqaatanda is currently being detained in Ekiti on the orders of Joseph Eribo, the Ekiti state commissioner of police, for writing stories on how FUOYE VC Abayomi Fasina harassed his married subordinate for a sexual relationship.
