The Open World in Borderlands 4 is great for the campaign, but is not being utilized for the endgame. Auger mines, Rift Bosses, Bunkers, Drill Sites & Vaults with some adjustments could 5x the endgame content offerings with a few tweaks.
Here’s a great post from yesterday on Reddit sharing some of the same ideas. There closing line is:
“I feel like the pieces are all there but past borderlands games aren't being used as proper inspiration like they should be. Most of what I said, is already in the game in some capacity just not being taken to the logical endpoint.”
Couldn’t agree more.

Please revert this change. Kill boss with Amon either wait 50+ seconds for your action skill to comeback or just save quit.
OR make using Moxxi's Encore refund your cooldowns to streamline the process. But ya save quiting is back feelsbadman
Interesting topic here. Borderlands has never given better dedicated drop rates for higher difficulties in any game. HOWEVER, in past Borderlands games you got better loot in harder difficulties; OP8 gear, mayhem 10, ascended etc.
I’ve seen a lot of people frustrated by this. I don’t think Borderlands 4 needs to give players higher dedicated drops at higher difficulties, but I do think the frustration stems from a larger issue in that players don’t feel rewarded for turning up the difficulty levels.
With no dedicated UVH5 loot, players are not finding a justification for cranking the difficulty levels even if their build can handle it. Currently UVH5 does increase the chance of rolling licensed parts on your gear but that’s a very hard stat to quantify. I’m really hoping Gearbox remedy this with UVH6 and exclusive loot tied to the difficulty + locking pearls behind UVH6.
However, in the meantime maybe it would be cool to see buffs to legendary enhancement drops in UVH5 or world drops in general in higher difficulties. Or maybe in UVH5 you stop seeing white and green gear entirely? Just some thoughts.
Heyo @Borderlands any chance we could get a preview of the patch notes so we could prep farming and builds for the upcoming changes? Would help a ton and could put a disclaimer that the notes are not final and subject to change.
Listen, I know this isn’t yet a full sample size but you can see it taking shape…
This is NOT what fans were asking for with drops after Borderlands 3. You did great with reducing world drops, but why reduce dedicated drops so low? @ProdigyXL@GearboxOfficial@erin_2kgames@Borderlands
Whoever at HBO needs to hear this:
Casting a black African man to play WHITE BRITISH Severus Snape doesn’t give me “REPRESENTATION” at all.
It gives me NAUSEA.
Because Harry Potter has been around for 28 years and 8 movies.
Which means you’ve had exactly that long to create a similar black series of your own.
You chose not to.
So to make him black NOW can only be to piss off the white fans that made the series successful in the first place.
IT. WONT. WORK.
They tried it with Little Mermaid: BOMB.
They tried it with Doctor Who: BOMB.
They JUST tried it with Captain America: BOMB.
And like those 3 flops, white people will boycott - and black people couldn’t care less.
Because the show is obviously being made by people who hate the franchise and its characters.
This ridiculous DEI casting should have stopped by now, but obviously USAID and the ESG people are paying for it, so it’s easy to burn other people’s money.
Keep it up Hollywood, I love laughing at the YouTube critics laughing at you fail.
Warzone NEEDS to unlock everything.
When Verdansk drops there will be so many new players but that number will drop off when they see they have to put in 30+ hours to unlock the MP5 extend mag.
GET RID OF THE UNLOCK SYSTEM 😭🙏🏽
If Borderlands 4 doesn't have dedicated item farming during new game runs, I will retire. You normalized dedicated drop farming for 7 years with BL2. You patched it back in for BL3, and butchered the system in Wonderlands/TPS. Don't take that away from us. That is all.
