Painting cycling as a dangerous activity by wearing a helmet may discourage others from taking it up. As such is helmet wearing a good example? I see the Dutch approach to cycling as a good example.

For instance I've seen people incorrectly claim "pedestrians always have priority" so many times it isn't even funny.
