@orthodoxscribe@LutheranAnswers I’m not here to debate. As someone who was standing at the edge of conversion into east and then Rome all I can say is that part of understating is hearing the good and the bad so that your understanding is full and not all rainbows and butterflies.Peace be with you. Proverbs 3:6
@orthodoxscribe@LutheranAnswers There are plenty of Lutheran churches who would not see any issue with how you were implementing things into the liturgy out of reverence.
@orthodoxscribe@LutheranAnswers What confuses me the most is that theologically you’ve had to abandon beliefs you’ve always held to. If I was guessing I’d think this is more of an emotional reaction to what happened with your congregation.
@orthodoxscribe@LutheranAnswers Since you were a Lutheran pastor I assume you listened to Pr. Weedon as someone who almost converted and Pr.Schooping who was an orthodox priest and talked to them about their disagreements on not converting/converting from?
A Brief Thread on Why the Formula of Concord gets hate from some Elert obsessed quarters of Lutheranism:
1. It affirms that the Law of God is the eternal expression of His immutable will that our lives be love.
@lagerandgospel2 I feel this. While this is a reopen of this account for me I’ve been on this app for over a decade. I stick around mostly for the memory of what it once was for me. I don’t have anyone around me who talks theology so this is where I come for that.
Hello, my name is Bishop Sarah Mullally.
I'm deeply honoured to have been called to serve as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury.

@Burgervonstadt It’s very disappointing. The willful rejection is great reminder of how we all were/are. Maybe. It to his extent but definitely to some extent.
“I get all that if I become Lutheran?” No, you’ve already got it. Christ just is. He doesn’t change based on what you believe. He isn’t like us. He just is.
Baptism just is.
The Sacrament just is.
The Word just is.
The bonus of right belief is holy comfort, joy in the Spirit, love because of the cross.
When you leave this vale of tears only to find that you are welcomed into heaven despite your ignorance, lingering unbelief, and persistent sin, the reason will be, Christ just is.
That is faith outside of you. That is Christ for you. That is the Gospel.
