I'm sat in a school office w an autistic parent of an autistic kid, yesterday, w/o notice, they withdrew adjustments to how he started school day, he got distressed (obvs) and hit a teacher so has been excluded. School are refusing to explain why the adjustment was withdrawn.

@NeuroRebel I grew up convinced I had some kind of hearing impairment. My hearing was great but I've always found it hard to understand speech, esp. if holding eye contact (it's just noise + takes a beat for me to decode). Never made sense until I learned about sensory processing disorders.
