Yeah, dude like honestly if I charge 20 dollars for a drawing and you turn around to sell that drawing on a T shirt for 30, make a profit of 1000 for each sale and I get 0 cut, neither was I warned I would of never of sold it to you for 20. And in fact that is what commercial pricing prevents.

It tells me what you are using it for and I get compensated in some way. You bought the art for potential products for your business to make profit.

By not building that in to the cost it allows people who have no intentions of selling and redistributing the art in anyway to get a cheaper deal on it.

You mention you are upset at surprised fees but things like these are never surprises, you just never tried to read the terms of service of the artist. And in cases where it is not specified talk to the artist and you should always assume you do not own full copyright of the art before buying it if not disclosed before because you didn’t sign any contracts or no agreements were made upfront.

Stop trying to scare artists from getting fair deals for their work, all you do is make art for artists impossible to get living wages, it’s so hard as it is right now.

And if you are an artist reading this, I beg of you do not under sale yourself by not including commercial right because of post like this.

People like this want to make money off your work and leave you with almost nothing, do not listen. You will always get worse clients if they buy you for cheap.

there are proven study’s that people do not value the items they get for free or cheap compared to more expensive items.

If any artists reading this it would be neat to see some horror story’s from undercharging. I know I have a one or two

Hi @_VGen_ :) it’s me again, complaining again. lol. Scammers are going through my vgen reviews and adding my past clients on discord and trying to scam them asking if they have any projects in mind.
Many clients have the same username on all platforms so these scammers are simply typing in those usernames on discord and sending friend requests. They use my vgen bio and profile photo as their discords.
They’ve gone through all 110 people who have left me reviews. I get TONS of message from past clients asking if that is me and I worry about the clients who have not reached out as many of them I never added me on discord or other socials in the first place.
I wish I could hide all clients names on my profile to remove this issue!!
I’ve already reported one scammers account to their BANK.
A new one is apparently creating a discord server?? With my past clients I don’t even know what they are doing that for but it’s very concerning!
If my only solution is to entirely delete my vgen account I just might :)
PS past clients THIS IS MY ONLY X ACCOUNT and my discord has not changed! If the picture is a chibi in a blanket that is NOT me.
