The Old Testament: Pork is forbidden

The clearest passage is:

Leviticus 11:7–8

“And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You shall not eat their flesh or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.”

This is repeated in:

Deuteronomy 14:8

“The pig is also unclean; although it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.”

In the New Testament:

Matthew 5:17–19, where Jesus says he did not come to abolish the Law.

Isaiah 66:15–17, which some interpret as showing pork remains forbidden even in a future judgment.
