No pilot that is employed as a pilot by a certificate holder conducting flag operations may do any other commercial flying if that commercial flying plus his flying in air transportation will exceed any flight time limitation in this part
@MCCCANM I know this was not a retiring Captain, but could you imagine, 35 years at an airline, never dinged an inch of metal, and on your retirement โsaluteโโฆ๐ณ
@MCCCANM@Fudmottin Spirit didnโt own any of their jets. The leasing companies did. @SteveNomadic would have a better handle on where the jets may be going, but going most of them will be! Anywhere in the world. Sure, engines off of some too!
@MCCCANM I was based at a hangar for a while that also had a based King Air 200. The company had gone through a merger, and the two pilots that were โthrown togetherโ spoke to each other only in the cockpit. Otherwise, they did not get along AT ALL. ๐ณ
@ncbrit8@MCCCANM EDCT is an Expect Departure Clearance Time. Itโs the time you can expect to be cleared for takeoff, usually due to an ATC program. Without an EDCT (pronounced โedictโ) we can be cleared to taxi all the way to the runway and receive our takeoff clearance when WE are ready.
@OnDisasters@InfantryPilot@Keg767 @ChemtrailerWino @not_airspeed Indeed! If, after 30 seconds, theyโd have set cruise power and LET GO of the sidestick, everyone on that plane would have lived. So sad.
@OnDisasters@InfantryPilot@Keg767 @ChemtrailerWino @not_airspeed And the pitot heaters did not โfailโ. They couldnโt melt the amount of ice that accumulated fast enough. The pitot system was clear of ice and functioning as designed 30-45 seconds after the initial blockage. After that point, it was all the crew actions and system design. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
