@TOWGnr@MCCCANM The regionals are paid by their mainline partner via “pay per trip”. Meaning. The regional doesn’t make their money from the seats. They are paid a set amount per flight by mainline to get pax to the hubs, whether it’s empty or full.
@MCCCANM When pax are deplaning I’ll get asked about it sometimes. And aliens. Occasional flat earther. I tell them it’s all real every time. Because there’s no coming back for them and they just need som validation
I flew for a regional that operated under AA/UA/DL
I got to utilize each carriers employee standby pass system and their IT infrastructure.
1. United. The App is awesome. Takes flying into 21st century.
2. AA. Still browser based and dated but usable but not as functional
3. Delta. The deltanet and travelnet system has the UI of Netscape navigator stuck in 1997. I was shocked at how outdated it was. Delta is being run by a cabal of boomers they are clearly out of touch with modern civilization and it will be their downfall
@danielbraden18 My understanding is the E6B’s purpose isn’t to be used. It’s to drill the concepts AA tacked to cross country flight. TAS vs IAS. Density alt. Wind correcrion. Fuel burn etc.
As long as the concepts can be instilled without it I’m all for burning every last one
I spent 18 months driving from LA to Buenos Aires. I learned a lot perseverance and tenacity. Partied it up in Buenos Aires. 4 months there and I was depleted. Not from party. But from lack of making something of my life. I was ready to build something. To bring meaning and purpose back to it.
