@SheltonForIN MUST file a complaint to document the egregious intervention and expose further evidence of the corruption within the INDIANA Republican Party.

1. General Bribery Statute (Applies to Elections)Indiana Code § 35-44.1-1-2 defines bribery as a Level 5 felony. Relevant to elections is subsection (a)(9):

A person commits bribery (Level 5 felony) if they: Confer, offer, or agree to confer any property on an individual for: (A) casting a ballot or refraining from casting a ballot; or
(B) voting for a political party, for a candidate, or for or against a public question;

in an election described in IC 3-5-1-2 or at a convention of a political party authorized under IC 3.

This directly prohibits vote-buying (offering anything of value to influence how or whether someone votes).

Broader parts of the same statute also cover bribery of public servants (which includes election officials) or others to influence official acts.

Penalty: Level 5 felony → advisory sentence of 3 years (range 1–6 years imprisonment) + fine up to $10,000 (per IC 35-50-2-6).

It is not a defense that the person you tried to influence was not qualified to act as desired.

2. Election-Specific Vote Influence / Compensation Offenses (Title 3, Article 14, Chapter 3)These provide targeted prohibitions on offering or accepting compensation to influence voting or absentee ballots (often classified as interference with free and equal elections):IC 3-14-3-19 (Inducing Votes by Gift or Offer to Compensate):

A person who, for the purpose of inducing or procuring another to (1) apply for or cast an absentee ballot, or (2) vote or refrain from voting for/against a candidate or public question at an election or political convention, gives, offers, or promises any money or other property commits a Level 6 felony.

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun wants to eliminate property taxes for seniors and those who have paid off their mortgage.

This is the same state government that removed tax relief for first time homeowners in a property tax bill last year because it would have allegedly harmed local schools.

Yet under this proposal, Braun would pay zero dollars in property taxes on his huge, nearly 10,000 square foot home with hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer-funded improvements.

The hypocrisy & hatred of young adults here is insane.
