@YungxJayy Centrist Dems care about issues in a rhetorical/aesthetic sense. When it comes to actually sacrificing something to improve the material conditions of others, they’re reactionaries. The rift between their rhetoric and their actions is vast.
Congrats to @drDavidKeegan appointed to chair Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Preventive Health Services.

@Snorkbox The orphan illnesses that get crumpled together like waste paper and tossed into the trash bin.
Oh, but if you don't get better it's something you are doing wrong, clearly. 🤬
😷 BREAKING🚨
Canada launches a new National Advisory Committee on Preventive Health Services.
It will be chaired by Dr. David Keegan, a leading advocate for masks in healthcare and on airplanes who filed human rights litigation on both fronts.
“I wear a mask because I know too much about the damage COVID and Long COVID do to our immune system and organs. Not wearing a mask would be intentionally inflicting harm on myself and others.”— Patrick Cote @PatTheSocialist, cohost, @PunchUpPod.

@BirdieBittern Hey who remembers when we acknowledged Covid is generating record sepsis and then we pretended it away and now young people die of sepsis in record numbers while media normalizes it?
Me trying to explain the results of the new Covid studies that come out daily to ppl who are pretending not to understand them:
“TB, bad. More TB, more bad. more Covid = more TB = bad. More Covid = immune system not work so good = more TB = bad”
Idk are we following?
Denying that SARS-CoV-2 infection leads to a broad range of sequelae across organs is pseudoscience. We need a case definition for Long Covid which accounts for such a broad range of sequelae. Denying this need is harmful for advocacy and patients alike. People must do better
Too many folks talking about “why no one told them how debilitating peri/menopause is” are actually experiencing Long Covid.
The reason your predecessors didn’t have to give up work (in or outside the home) is because they weren’t suffering from a disabling viral infection.
If more people wore masks to avoid getting sick, we’d see operation warp speed to develop invisible protections and safer indoor spaces, because the illusion of normal is the ultimate goal.
So, maskless scientists are blocking the very progress they‘re trying to achieve.
We must be crystal clear about a few points. Long Covid is not a "poorly understood neuroimmune disorder" with no biomarkers. It is a widely studied biological medical condition. Pathology spanning basically all body systems is well documented, with damage in situ across organs
"As part of President Donald Trump's budget plan, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) will see its funding cut from around $125 million a year to about $25 million." -Newsweek
I never say the cases are low because the baseline has repeatedly been raised. Large geographic areas are not being tested for wastewater data. Reports appear to be weekly data but in reality is only being reported monthly. Reduced testing and monitoring, people not testing when viral loads are detectable….
But no one in my family has any ire for the hospital that infected my father, because if they admit Covid infections are doing this, and the institutions they trust are killing ppl, they might be confronted with the importance of changing their own behavior.
My father was hospitalized when he fell down the stairs, got Covid in hospital, and his then-mild dementia accelerated with extreme rapidity, and he died within the year.
My story is not unique. How many millions of people is this happening to?
Pew pew. Still masking, even outside because I'm around a crew, going in and out the house a lot. Also because I know the science better than all you capitalist bootlickers who minimize Covid. Enjoy dying young
